Specialties: The Aggieland Humane Society provides humane shelter, care, and placement for stray and unwanted animals in the Brazos Valley. Aggieland Humane Society seeks to promote the human-animal bond and responsible pet ownership to enhance the quality of life for the people and animals in our community. Aggieland Humane Society is an independent 501(c)3 animal welfare charity. We are not affiliated with or receive support from any other local, state or national animal welfare organization. Established in 1981. In 1981, Brazos Animal Shelter was incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. The facility opened at 2207 Finfeather Road, Bryan in 1983. Brazos Animal Shelter accepted animals from the City of College Station, City of Bryan, Brazos County and surrounding counties. On July 1, 2011 we opened our doors to the new location at 5359 Leonard Road accepting stray animals from the City of College Station and areas served by the Brazos County Sheriff's department. The contract with the City of Bryan ended on August 31, 2011. In the Fall of 2012 we changed the name to Aggieland Humane Society (AgHS) as a representation of the spirit of our region!
