Building Inspection
The Division of Building Inspection is a public safety law enforcement agency that exercises the police powers of the state over the built environment.

Emergency Management

Emergency Medical Services
Enfield EMS is a division of the Town of Enfield, Department of Public Safety. We are the only municipal, third-service EMS organization in the State of Connecticut.

Thompsonville Fire Department
Serving the Thompsonville residents since 1839, we are the 1st organized, paid fire department in Connecticut. TFD owned the 1st motorized fire engine in the United States, purchased from Knox Automobile Company in Springfield, Massachusetts.
The Planning Department's mission is to help insure the health, safety and welfare of the people of Enfield and to provide a better quality of life through high professional standards of planning, community development and enforcement services.
Police
The Enfield Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency dedicated first and foremost to the safety and security of all of our residents and to visitors of our community. The Enfield Police Department is currently recognized as a nationally accredited law enforcement agency through the Commission of Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).
Probate Court
Effective January 5, 2011, the Probate Court Districts of Enfield and Stafford will consolidate to become the North Central Connecticut Probate District, serving the Towns of Enfield, Somers, Stafford and Union.

Tax Collector's Office
There are 169 cities and towns in Connecticut. Each provides various services, such as public school education, police and fire protection and public road maintenance. To a large extent, the property tax finances these services. Connecticut State Law authorizes the taxation of property, including real estate, motor vehicles, business-owned personal property that some personal property that individuals own.
Town Attorney
The goals of the Town Attorney are to continue to provide preventative and proactive counsel to the Town Council, the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency and other municipal agencies, boards and commissions, as well as to the Town Manager and town staff.

The Town Clerk's goal is to provide the highest quality service in a timely, professional manner to the general public, council, co-workers and other governmental agencies.
Town Manager
The mission of the Manager's Office is to serve the public by continuously working to create, develop and maintain the organizational capacity, competence and environment to effectively deliver services demanded by the taxpayers through the elected officials with optimum efficiency. The office serves as liaison between the administrative staff and the Town Council for all operations, recommends development of Policies for the Council and is responsible for implementing those policies and programs.
Water Pollution Control
The Enfield Water Pollution Control Division is responsible for the efficient removal of pollutants from wastewater generated by the residents and businesses in Enfield.
